Zelensky supported the idea of debates between Klitschko and Vereschuk

President Vladimir Zelensky supported the idea of holding a debate between the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko candidate for the post from “public Servants” Irina Vereschuk, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to Browser.

During a briefing on 16 July, which was held after the primaries, Zelensky said that the residents of the capital would be interested to hear a substantive discussion of the candidates for mayor, because “it’s very important.”

“I remember one President [Petro Poroshenko] has challenged me to a debate. It seems to me that we should be open, no one should be afraid of. It seems to me that the subject of professional debate on city issues, urban development, housing, infrastructure, Finance, transport would be very interesting. And the people of Kiev it would be very interesting to hear the answers to these questions at the debate between the current mayor and Irina Vereschuk,” said Zelensky.

She Vereschuk also supported the idea. “I invite, on this occasion, Mr. Klitschko on the debate,” she said, noting that they must be public.
