Zelensky recalled that the criminal proceedings against the perpetrators of the Holocaust began in the Netherlands on March 9 of this year.

“From the beginning of the investigation of this tragedy, Ukraine has shown itself as a reliable international partner interested in the truth. This court promises to be one of the largest in the world practice in recent decades, because, among other things, it accumulated a lot of international attention,” said the President.

Zelensky said that “nothing can bring the lost lives and will not quench the grief of loved ones, parents, children, friends died in the disaster.”

“But justice must prevail. In the name of peace and the memory of all victims”, – said the head of state.

In turn, Russia said that the flight MH17 was shot down in 2014 on the Donbass area, for which Russia has not exercised jurisdiction in accordance with the European Convention for the protection of human rights.
