The Verkhovna Rada adopted the relevant decision.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed the local elections on 25 October 2020. This decision was accepted by deputies at session on July 15. Voted 326 deputies, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to Country.

The decision was supported by:

  • “Servant of the people” — 225,
  • “European solidarity” — 26,
  • “Batkivshchyna” — 17,
  • “For the future” — 19,
  • “The voice” — 16,
  • “Trust” — 17,
  • non-faction MPs — 6.

People’s deputies from “Applatform” did not vote, because in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions will continue military-civil administration, and election to the regional Council will not be held.

Thus, in accordance with the adopted Ordinance of the local elections on October 25 will be held all over Ukraine, except Russia-occupied Crimea and uncontrolled Ukrainian government districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

Recall that the decree on local elections was to be considered on Monday, July 13, however, the Parliament immediately convened the Committee to amend the draft resolution of the refinement, adding the elections to the district councils.
