At the local Telegram-channel “Rise” published a video made during this event.

In the frames of the rollers shows that the participants of the action, which was not coordinated with the local authorities, walked along Lenin street, chanting “Freedom!” “Our choice, our Furgal!”, “This is our land!”.

According to one of the protesters, the demonstrators blocked the street and “went out like the whole Khabarovsk”.

As stated at the headquarters of opposition leader Alexei Navalny took to the streets to 40 thousand people, and this figure was a record for the Khabarovsk territory.

It is worth noting that the police did not intervene and the rally ended after an appeal of the authorities to go home.

We recall the morning of July 9, representatives of the Investigative Committee accompanied by armed FSB officers arrested the Governor of Khabarovsk, a representative of the liberal democratic party of Russia, at the exit of his house.

He is suspected of organizing murders and attempted murders of several businessmen in 2004-2005. He was taken by plane to Moscow for investigation.

Recall that in 2018 Sergei Furgal, which came from the liberal democratic party, won elections of the Governor of Khabarovsk territory, its main competitor was the United Russia party Vyacheslav Shport.

Later, the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky has threatened to leave the faction of the State Duma in full force in response to the detention Furgala.
