Scientists from the University of Houston has created an air filter that can instantly kill coronavirus, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Apostrophe.
The researchers relied on data that the coronavirus can survive at temperatures above 70 degrees ℃. Laboratory tests showed that the device killed 99.8% of the virus.
The air filter contains a Nickel foam that catches SARS-CoV-2 and heats it to 200 degrees ℃. Moreover, it is able to kill anthrax.
The developers believe that this innovation can be used in airplanes, offices, schools and cruise ships, to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
