Satellite monitoring of algal blooms in the northwestern part of the Black sea. Photo published by the national control center and tests of space vehicles, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Correspondent.
Monitoring was performed using an optical remote sensing of the Earth from the SPACECRAFT Sentinel-3A and Sentinel KA-3B for the period from 28 June to 1 July 2020.
Indicator of water pollution and quantity of the phytoplankton biomass elected chlorophyll-a, which indirectly allows to evaluate the intensity of algal blooms in reservoirs.
