The night sky over Tokyo was covered by an extraterrestrial object.
Bright UFO in the form of a giant balloon entered the Earth’s atmosphere over Japan, with a deafening roar flew over the capital, and then exploded with force of 150 tons of TNT, reports the Chronicle.info with reference for Today.
Taken by eyewitnesses and surveillance videos show you how at 2:30 a.m. local time appeared in the sky the object is flying incredibly fast and shines green and purple shades.
The Japanese government on the morning of Friday 3 July reassured the residents, explaining what happened with the asteroid that entered the Earth’s atmosphere, is heated to very high temperatures, turning into a race car, and near the surface exploded. This was confirmed by the Organization of the Treaty on comprehensive ban on nuclear tests, infrasound monitoring station which gave the space a chip. International meteorological organization reports that the meteor was visible from a significant part of the Japanese Kanto region.
“We were able to calculate the energy of the source of the incoming asteroid, about 150 metric tons in a trotyl equivalent”, – stated in the blog post IMO.
According to estimates IMO, the space rock could have a diameter of about 1.6 meters and a weight of 1.8 tons. For comparison, the meteorite that exploded over Russia in 2013 and broke thousands of Windows in Chelyabinsk, was probably 10-20 times more massive.
The fireballs – the usual, although very rare. Even more rarely do they reach the surface so close to explode with a deafening roar.
