Today it is inappropriate to speak about increase of tariffs for population.
Electricity tariffs for population will not increase. This was stated by the acting Minister of energy Olga Bukovec, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Correspondent.
“I want to reassure our community that has an approved electricity tariff. It is unchanged from 2017. And, as has been repeatedly stressed by the Prime Minister, no one makes the decision about increase of the tariff”, — said the head of Ministry.
Busevec assured that the reason is not in the local elections to be held in October. “Without raising the social protection of people without an increase, perhaps a living wage and pensions is perhaps inappropriate today to talk about raising the rate for the population”, — the official noted.
However, she stressed that we are talking about the immutability of tariffs for the population. In other segments of the market, there are bilateral treaties and their pricing. “I am for market rules to the market price formed so that it is consistent with today’s supply and demand”, — it summed up.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers and the national Commission of regulation of energy and utilities will revise electricity tariffs for the population. This is stated in the anti-crisis program of the Cabinet of Ministers published on 28 may.
