Salary will increase on 1 September.
Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal and Minister of Finance, Sergei Marchenko worked for the job of President Vladimir Zelensky to raise the minimum wage in Ukraine and voiced the appropriate plan, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to finance.ua.
On 27 June the head of government reported Zelensky on a provisional timetable, which will raise the minimum wage.
- From 1 September this year it will be increased up to 5 thousand hryvnia,
- from 1 January next year – up to 6 thousand UAH
- from 1 July 2021 – up to 6.5 thousand.
Recall that according to the calculations of the state statistics Committee, due to quarantine every Ukrainian lost an average of 1000 UAH salary. So the average salary of hired workers for April fell by UAH 1000 or almost 10% compared to March.
Earlier, the President said that the salary of 5-6 thousand hryvnia – this is not an indicator of poverty.
