The capital of the United States may become a separate state.

The majority of the members of the house of representatives supported a bill to provide the U.S. capital of Washington the status of a separate state, reports the with reference to the Correspondent.

Approved project 232 Congressman, and voted against 180. Mostly supported the idea of the representatives of the Democratic party and the Republicans were against it.

Currently, from an administrative point of view, Washington is considered the Federal district of Columbia, which is not included in any of the States.
