President Alexander Lukashenko said on the need of amending the Constitution of Belarus with the provisional delegation of authority down. He presented several options of the amended Constitution, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC.

According to him, the changes were not strong enough.

“People are just afraid to make more drastic changes to the Constitution. I think we need it to do. Even before the adoption of the Constitution we actually do a lot in terms of subsidiarity to the presidents of Executive committees, the Governor,” he said.

However, he added that a return to the Constitution of 1994 is a backward movement.
