Lucescu was asked to lead two clubs

Former head coach of Shakhtar Mircea Lucescu in the near future may again return to active work, reports the with reference to the Channel 24.

74-year-old is currently seriously considering two proposals. One was from the Swiss “Sion”, and the second is from an unnamed team from the UAE.

The owner of “Sion” Lucescu wants to see in the team this summer. He is willing to pay Romania 1 million euros as a salary. Also, the Swiss investor club is willing to provide the coach the freedom to transfer, but instead requires to win the Swiss Cup.

“I can’t confirm this, but also do not deny. I couldn’t leave the country because of quarantine. But now it is weakened, we’ll see. Now I’m in Bucharest, walking and enjoying life,” said Lucescu.

Career Lucescu in Ukraine

Mircea Lucescu was the head of “Shakhtar” from 2004 to 2016. For 12 years, the Romanian coach has won with the Pitmen 22 trophies, including the UEFA Cup in the 2008/2009 season.

The last place of work 74-year-old Lucescu was Turkey, which he left in February 2019.
