Recommendations from the American cancer society.
The American cancer society released new guidelines on diet and physical activity for cancer prevention. The document has been amended and conditioned by scientific discoveries of the last years, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Channel 24.
The changes affected all parts of the recommendations, which were published in the American Cancer Society.
Informed the American oncologists recommended 150 minutes of moderate exercise or 75 minutes of intense exercise a week. Now they point to the need to increase the loads: up to 150-300 minutes or 75-150 minutes per week, respectively. The desired number of minutes of physical activity per week – 300.
Earlier, the oncologists recommended to follow a healthy, mostly vegetable, diet, which helps to maintain a healthy weight. They have been told to avoid red and processed meat, have at least 2.5 servings of fruits or vegetables, choose whole grains rather than refined products.
The recommendations focus on healthy food patern.
There is not a single product or even group of products that would help significantly reduce the level of risk of developing cancer. Modern scientific data supports the transition from binding to certain nutrients to more holistic concepts of dietary patterns

Healthy patterns include foods that are rich in nutrients, in quantities that maintain a healthy weight. They contain a lot of different fruits and vegetables, legumes, whole grains. Contrary to healthy patern of red and processed meats, sugary drinks, UltraPerformance products.
Changed recommendations about alcohol. Previously it was thought that it is necessary to limit: up to one standard serving per day for women and two for men. Now this recommendation was added indicating that alcohol should be totally rejected.
