The Minister of Finance, Sergei Marchenko predicts the rejection of IMF loans by 2023.
Ukraine plans to abandon the International monetary Fund until 2023, and expects to receive an investment grade rating. On 16 June Minister of Finance, Sergei Marchenko, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Correspondent.
“We believe that we will have the opportunity to 2023 − in 2022 to say that zero loans from the IMF to the budget. That is, we have the opportunity by shadowing, by increasing income, by increasing expenditure efficiency, by improving our credit ratings,” − said Marchenko.
According to the Minister, Ukraine also expects to receive an investment grade rating.
“Yes, indeed, Moody’s (international credit rating Agency − ed.) really raised our rating… Perhaps that’s not the rating we expected. We want to see investment grade rating. But you need to do something and we know what to do,” he said.
