The IMF has significantly downgraded the forecast decline in GDP for Ukraine

The first tranche of Ukraine will receive on June 11.

The international monetary Fund worsened the forecast of falling of GDP of Ukraine in 2020 to 8.2% from 7.7%, previously published in the April world economic Outlook, reports the Chronicle.info with reference in Word and Deed.

As written in the release of the Fund in connection with the approval of the 18-month stand-by program for Ukraine 5 billion dollars the forecast recovery of the Ukrainian economy in 2021 also deteriorated from 3.6% to 1.1% with an acceleration to 3% in 2022.

Recall that the first tranche under the new program will be listed immediately after the approval of the program.

The second tranche under the program, Ukraine will get to the end of the year, if it is to adhere to commitments. By the end of 2020 it is planned two tranches totaling $ 3.5 billion. The third tranche will be received in 2021.

Also, President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine will receive the first tranche from the International monetary Fund.

As you know, Ukraine has fulfilled all the conditions from the IMF for funding under the new program.
