Ukrainian tennis player Kateryna Bondarenko has successfully started in the main draw of the grass tournament in Eastbourne (great Britain) Premier with a prize Fund of $852,564.
After successful completion of the qualification Bondarenko in the match against Frenchwoman Alize cornet tried for the first time in two years to win in the main draw of the WTA grass tournament. In personal meetings the Ukrainian had lost 2:3, but the only match on grass in 2011 at Wimbledon won in two sets.
In the first set Bondarenko on two breaks Root answered with only one successful game at the reception. During the second game the Ukrainian led 5:0 and with no problems finished the set in their favor.
Deciding Bondarenko started with losing the game on his serve, that did not stop Catherine soon to seize the initiative. A defining moment occurred in the ninth game – Bondarenko are unable to apply for the match but the first match-ball concluded the meeting in their favor.In the second round of Eastbourne Ekaterina Bondarenko will play against titled Czech Petra Kvitova, who this week became the double champion of a major tournament in Birmingham.
